Several luxury cars were taken from the Bucharest home of British-American influencer Andrew Tate.

Mr. Tate and his brother Tristan were held last month as part of an inquiry into allegations of human trafficking and rape, which they deny.

According to Reuters, cars such as a Rolls-Royce, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz were removed from the property on Saturday.

Mr. Tate's lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Mr. Tate's bid to end his incarceration in Romania was refused by a court on Tuesday, and he was ordered to remain in custody.

Mr. Tate was spotted walking into Bucharest Appeal Court tied to his brother, clutching what seemed to be a copy of the Quran.

After the arrests on 29 December, police stated they had identified six people who were allegedly "sexually exploited" by what it called an "organized criminal cell".

Police stated the victims were "recruited" by British citizens, who they said misrepresented their intention to enter into a relationship with the victims - which they called "the loverboy method".

According to the statement, they were later forced to perform in pornographic content under threat of assault.

Eugen Vidineac, the Tates' lawyer, stated that his clients denied all of the charges.

Mr. Tate, who was born in the United States before relocating to the United Kingdom, went on to have a successful career as a kickboxer.

He was kicked off the British TV show Big Brother in 2016 when a video surfaced showing him allegedly assaulting a woman. He subsequently set up a "webcam business", which he defined as "adult entertainment".

He went on to earn international attention, with Twitter banning him for claiming women should "take responsibility" for sexual assault. He was later reinstated.
